PO BOX 322
New Baltimore, NY 12124
The New Baltimore Conservancy maintains three properties: HCP, the Hannacroix Creek Preserve, 140 acres of upland woods, owned by Open Space Institute and the Town of New Baltimore; the HRIT, Hudson River Interpretive Trail, 40 acres abutting the Hudson River, owned by the Town; and LVP, Scenic Hudson’s Long View Park, 76 acres of open fields and woods lying along the west bank of Hudson. Between the northern HCP and HRIT properties and LVP lies the New Baltimore historic district.
From the north, reach the properties by way of NYS Route 144. The HCP and HRIT have a common parking lot just south of the Hannacroix Creek on the west side of the road. An alternative entrance to the HCP is via Madison Avenue West which is a west-bound turn off Route 144 in the hamlet.
Access to the properties from the south or west is from NYS 9W via 144.
To reach LVP, continue south on Route 144 – through the hamlet. Beyond the Post Office and just after Route 144 turns west at the old schoolhouse, take the next left onto River Road and continue south for ~ 1 mile. Parking at the LVP is on the east side of Route 61, near the large red barn on the left.
